Managed another evening without snacking last night, I must be doing something right! Got up this morning quaffed a green tea and dived straight into Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred Level 1 and the first circuit of Level 2. Thankfully I found this time round much less scary than when I did it on Tuesday, but still very challenging all the same. This time I felt more in control, where as when I did it on Tuesday I couldn’t hold my form when doing the moves and felt out of control! After I sweated my way through that I made a big smoothie, it was really really scrummy. I had my usual frozen blueberries, vanilla whey, oats and ground flax combo with hazelnut and almond rice milk but added a big tablespoon of smooth peanut butter. It was yummy when I wasn’t including the peanut butter, but adding that in took it to a whole new level! Its a shame these pics don’t do it justice!
I just wish I’d made more to fill the shaker!
Work wasn’t too bad today and I seem to be getting on top of things. Mid morning I snacked on a small apple. Lunch was an orange and a bowl of homemade vegetable soup with lentils from my frozen stash of course. This is probably the best soup I’ve made to date, its very tasty and filling.
Mid afternoon snack was a small apple and two babybels.
I worked late again tonight, hence why it feels like deja vu Thursday! I even had more chilli and salad for dinner like last week. I must make something new to freeze up for dinner next Thursday which no doubt I’ll be working late again!
After work I had a quick trip to the shops to stock up on a few bits and bobs. I ended up buying loads off stuff but doesn’t that just always happen? I got a few things to experiment with including some quinoa, natural orange extract, dessicated coconut (I might attempt the coconut butter everyones making at the moment!), some puffed brown rice cereal to give my yoghurt mess a bit of a crunch on a morning and some nice glass bowls for deserts. I also got some 0% fat Greek yoghurt which I haven’t had in ages. I decided to have one when I got home and topped it with some of the puffed brown rice cereal.
I forgot how lovely and filling greek yoghurt is, should keep snack attacks at bay this evening!

Weigh in day tomorrow. I’m not really bothered about actually losing more weight, its more that I’m worried that I’m going to start gaining, although I’ve consistently lost for the last few weeks. I really haven’t got this weight maintenance thing figured out yet. Will have to see how I get on! I’ve also been thinking about Saturday as I’m staying at my friends house for a girly night in. She’s making us dinner and I said that I would make desert but I can’t decide what to make. I have three ideas –
- Plum, pomegranate and pecan crumble in a glass
- Tofu chocolate mouse layered with a dark cherry compote
- Chocolate Raspberry Sorbet
What do you like the sound of best? At the moment I’m straying towards the plums. I need help to decide! So glad its Friday tomorrow!
