Healthy Living Gathering: We want to know what you think!

clip_image002

A few of us have started to investigate the potential to hold a UK healthy living bloggers event (similar to the Healthy Living Summit that takes place in the U.S) It’s very early days yet, but we wanted to post about it so that we could see how many of you would be interested in taking part!

There are 4 of us trying to organise things at the moment: Emily from Sparkle and Shade, Laura from Keeping Healthy Getting Stylish, Emma from Coming Up Easy and Laura from Box, Run, Eat.

At the moment we are looking at a possible date of the 8th and 9th October 2011.

If you would be interested in attending an event like this please send an email to healthylivinggathering@gmail.com with the following information:

● Venue preference: Leeds / Manchester / Nottingham

● How much you would be willing to pay for a ticket

We know it will be difficult to find a venue that suits everyone, but we have tried to keep the options as central and affordable as possible. If you’d like to come but can’t make that weekend, please still get in touch – the date isn’t set in stone, the main thing we need to find out is how many of you would be interested in coming along!

We really hope that some of you would like to join us at an event, it would be lovely to meet you all! This isn’t just restricted to bloggers either, anyone that’s interested could come along.

If you’re on Twitter, make sure you’re following @HLG11 for all the latest info and updates over the next few months.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Emily, Laura, Emma and Laura x

Wow that sounds like such a good idea! I’d love to be involved – but all those venues are too far away for me really… any chance of a slightly more southern one?!

Well done to all the winners!! :)
This is the BEST idea ever ever!! I think the locations suggested are good because yes, there are people in London but for us people up in the far North that is quite a trek! So these are quite central for us all :) Will the day involve going to a restaurant because this could also affect the location??

Can’t believe I won! Yay :) Just emailed you my address. A UK Healthy living summit sounds a great idea. Unfortunately I’ll be away on my university year abroad at that time but I hope it goes well.

Congrats to the winners :)
If I could some for the day then I might, but I would not come for a weekend. But I think it sounds like a fab idea. Or should I email this?

Brilliant that you and the other bloggers have thought to organise a UK ‘Healthy Living Summit:’ I nearly danced with glee when you mentioned it today (but I thought I’d spare you that one lol).

Manchester would probably be best for me owing to the fact there are more trains in/out I think? But all of the locations are technically okay.

I second Nicky’s opinion that it would be nice to have a central location for a change simply because all of the best events/expos already tend to happen in the South.

Was great to finally meet you today :)

Such a good idea! I’m doing my first half marathon on the 9th, so I wouldn’t be able to make that weekend :-( I’ll drop an e-mail into the mailbox soon.
Well done to all the winners :-)

A UK bloggers event would be great! Just looked up train times and it would take me about 4.5/5 hours to get to Manchester/Birmingham, about 5.5/6 hours to get to Leeds…so my preference would obviously be Manchester or Birmingham!
Not 100% sure that I would be able to come though as they are all quite far away, but definitely interested…will email you soon :) Thanks to all those organising it!

My vote goes to Manchester (because i live there so kind of biased haha but it’s an amazing city!)

Although I’m not a blogger myself I’d still love to attend a meet up. I’d be able to travel anywhere for it really, and I wouldn’t have a preference over date either. I look forward to hearing more details as you plan it :)

oh wow! this is the first thing I’ve won in a giveaway! I’m so excited! :)

I would love to attend a Healthy Living Gathering but the closest one to me is about 4 hours away. If you had one down South then I would be up for it :)
